About

A lifelong resident of north Georgia, Jim’s family's roots have been planted in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains for nearly 200 years. A second generation Architect, it has been his lifelong dream to serve his family, friends, and community by providing them with exceptional architectural services that help achieve their goals while providing a lasting impact and legacy. 

After completing his Bachelors and Master of Architecture degrees at the Georgia Institute of Technology,  Jim worked at several well known firms in Atlanta where he focused on luxury single and multi-family design, mixed-use and cultural project types. During this time he developed a passion for working alongside clients and contractors as a unified team, guiding multi-million dollar projects from Schematic Design all the way through the completion of Construction. Jim has found that the most enjoyable and successful projects are ones where collaboration, communication, and transparency are fostered early on between the client, architect, and contractor…. often leading to lasting friendships and partnerships for years to come.

Outside of the design studio, Jim enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with his wife (Whitney) and two sons (Wes & Bo). An avid sportsman, he loves the opportunity to explore the woods and rivers of north Georgia where he often draws from nature and local architectural vernacular as influence and inspiration for his designs.
